Introdução
Beyond the *Enchiridion Vaticanum* (post-1962 coverage), the digital library Locus Mariologicus provides access to three extensive collections of official documents from papal and conciliar magisterium: *Acta Sanctae Sedis* (ASS), *Acta Apostolicae Sedis* (AAS), and *Sacrorum Conciliorum* (*MANSI*). This post-1962 guide organizes these collections to facilitate the study of theologians and researchers.

I. Acta Sanctae Sedis (ASS), 1865-1908
Origem e Função
The Acta Sanctae Sedis (ASS) was the first systematic official publication of the acts of the Holy See, established by Pius IX in 1865. The aim was to compile and make public pontifical and curial documents. In 1904, Pius X recognized the ASS as the “official organ of the Holy See”. In 1909, it was replaced by the Acta Apostolicae Sedis.

II. Acta Apostolicae Sedis (AAS), desde 1909
Origem e Função
On September 29, 1908 (Constitutio Promulgandi), Pius X established the Acta Apostolicae Sedis (AAS) as a continuation of the Acta Sanctae Sedis. The publication began on January 1, 1909. The AAS is the “sole official organ” of the Holy See, and only what is published in it has universal juridical value.
